Question about FEC Reports

As the campaign for the Republican endorsement comes down to its final days, I'd like to thank those that have taken the time to meet with me and discuss issues as I seek support for the nomination. It has been great visiting one on one and feeling the excitement of the coming campaign against Mr. Walz.

Recently, a question came up in a few conversations regarding amendments made to my quarterly campaign finance reports posted on the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) Web site. These amendments were filed to correct data transfer problems encountered by my treasurer when we switched over to the FECfile reporting software. FEC staff has been very helpful and responsive as my treasurer has worked to make this transition. The transfer is now complete and any needed corrections have been made. We have filed a more thorough explanation on the FEC website to add clarity to the situation. A copy of this explanation is posted on my web site here. If you have more questions please don't hesitate to give me a call.

What a great opportunity we have! Voters in the First District are frustrated with the endless government expansion and intrusion into our lives that Tim Walz is supporting. We know that our message of personal responsibility, limited government, and fiscally sound budgeting are the right message for these difficult economic times. Now, with the right candidate, we can take back this seat and restore conservative leadership to Washington. I will continue to work hard in a positive manner to earn your support as the Republican nominee to be the next Congressman from Minnesota's First District, and hope I can count on your vote at the District Convention and in November.

Thanks again for your active involvement in this critically important election.
