Demmer Announces Campaign Team
On the heels of an extremely successful fundraising quarter in which he raised over $300,000, Republican Congressional candidate Randy Demmer today formally announced the team that has helped make the campaign so successful over the past months.
Serving as Chairman of the Demmer for Congress campaign is former Rep. Vin Weber, who represented a large swath of the district during his time in Congress. “Nobody understands Southern Minnesota better than Vin Weber,” said Randy Demmer. “I am proud to have him serve as my campaign chair and help guide us through to victory in this fall’s election.”
“Randy Demmer is going to win, because he knows what Southern Minnesota needs – he has lived and worked here his whole life. I know he’s got what it takes to stand up to Washington, and truly serve and represent the people in his District,” said Weber. “Voters are rightfully concerned with the direction that this Congress and Administration are taking our country. Whether it’s the cap and trade tax, the government takeover of health care, or the accumulation of trillions of dollars of new debt, the people of Southern Minnesota will vote this fall for new leadership and a new direction.”
Another Minnesotan, Scott Cottington of the Cottington Group serves as general consultant to the campaign. Well-respected pollster Brian Tringali and the Tarrance Group will handle Demmer for Congress’ polling. Rounding out the campaign team are Campaign Manager Jason Flohrs, Political Director Ben Zierke and fundraisers Tom McGill and Zandra Walcott of Bush Lake Partners and Amber Burton of Capitol Strategies DC.
“We’ve been able to assemble an exceptional team of experienced campaign staff to help the campaign get the job done,” said Demmer. “Thanks to the strong grassroots base of volunteers and donors who have stepped forward to help, combined with the frustration and anger that voters are expressing with an out-of-touch and out-of-control Congress, I’m confident that we will be able to sustain our momentum and continue to build toward victory in November.”
